Details

This presentation delves into the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on building automation systems, scrutinizing the pivotal choice between deploying AI at the edge or in the cloud. As smart buildings become ubiquitous, the need for efficient, responsive, and autonomous systems has intensified. The debate surrounding whether to harness the computational power of the cloud or leverage edge computing for localized decision-making is central to optimizing these systems. Explore the distinct advantages and limitations of AI implementation at the edge and in the cloud. Drawing on real-world examples, the presentation evaluates the trade-offs in terms of latency, bandwidth utilization, security, and scalability. It sheds light on the potential of edge computing to enhance real-time processing, enabling swift responses to dynamic environmental changes within the building. This session offers valuable guidance to stakeholders involved in the design and implementation of AI-driven building automation systems. In an era where the convergence of AI and smart buildings is reshaping urban landscapes, this exploration provides a comprehensive understanding of the considerations that underpin the strategic decision-making process between edge and cloud AI deployments in the realm of building automation. Seminar Cost - $30
