Details

The statistics surrounding buildings and their energy consumption are profound. A staggering 40% of global energy is consumed by buildings worldwide. 25% of Australia’s emissions are accounted to buildings. Buildings represent the single largest lever in our journey toward a net-zero future, and we have much of the technology required to make the transition already available to us today. At the end of this session, participants will understand the role that buildings have in the energy equation and the way that scalable technologies like cloud and IoT can help bring some of the same outcomes as premium buildings to the mass mid market. We'll explore technologies across a buildings lifecycle, to help ensure sustainability is considered at each and every step. Seminar Cost - $30

How buildings and technology can play a role in the clean energy supply chain

.

I've always had a passion for two things: automation and buildings. Since a young age I've been fascinated with the tallest, biggest, oldest and smartest structures and obsessed with using automation to make life easier. Fortunately, these two things have carried in to my professional career too. I'm passionate about driving the built environment to be improved through the use of technology. Having worked in the technology space for more than a decade both in Australia and in Switzerland, I can confidently say there's never been a better time to be in the built environment industry.
